My name is Alastair Vance. I’m married to Elizabeth, and we have four children – Nathan, Noah, Katie and Xander. Five of us moved to North Carolina from Ireland in 2007, with Xander being born here at the end of 2015.
I have 20+ years experience in software development, spent a little time as a functional analyst before moving into a software development manager role.
I’m a runner (road and trail). I have no aspirations of Boston, Iron Mans and the like. I simply like to be outside and unwind, stopping to take photos whenever the thought occurs to me.
I like to play and record music, and I love all the pieces of the process that go with that — video, editing, mixing, collaborations, etc. I’d like to start writing music again.
If I didn’t have to work, I’d just run and play music all day, every day.
