You may have seen Oofos sandals in your local running store before. The company focuses on making recovery footwear for runners (and other active people). Their footwear is made from Oofoam which is scientifically proven to help you recover faster and better.
How does it work? The revolutionary Oofoam absorbs 37% more shock in every step. It reduces stress on sore feet, knees and back. On top of that, the shoes have amazing arch support, allowing the feet to move in a natural motion.
I am testing the new OOMG Fibre Low shoes which is the company’s first foray into a more traditional-looking shoe using the same Oofoam technology. This makes the shoe a candidate for everyday use, like wearing to work, or functions where flip-flops and sandals are not appropriate.
While some of my fellow BibRave Pros did wear them to work, I did not. Instead, I chose to wear them as an indoor shoe. As a family, we don’t wear outdoor shoes inside our home. We take them off at the front door and slip on a pair of comfortable indoor shoes.
For me this used to be a pair of slides. Now as soon as I complete a run, or come home from work, I don’t wear my slides anymore. I immediately slip on my Oofos and lift the weight off my feet.
My kids like to think of themselves as shoe connoisseurs. So when my Oofos OOMG Fibre Low shoes arrived in the mail, they were all very keen to try them out. They loved them. In fact, when I was ordering a pair of Oofos slides for my wife, one of my older sons was begging that I ordered them for him instead.
Oofoam does not lose its bounce for its entire life, and the shoes can be machine washed to keep them looking like new. This ensures a long-life with your new Oofos shoes or sandals.
Someone at church today pulled me aside to get the actual skinny on the shoes (off the record). Are they really all that comfortable? I assured them, yes. they are very comfortable indeed.
I really appreciated wearing them after my 11 mile run this morning. They DO make a difference.
