Following in her father’s footsteps, worship leader Katie Gustafson, daughter of song-writer Gerrit Gustafson, released her debut EP on July 10th.
I’m familiar the song Isaiah 55, since Leigh Nash (from Sixpence None The Richer fame) released a version of it last year.
The EP is a collection of seven songs that Katie says, “came out of a season of growing desperation for intimacy with God… of crying out for more and of letting go.”
Included is a track called Be Still My Soul, which Nash also recorded. I think this album will appeal most to fans of Leigh Nash, or even Brooke Fraser.
Incidentally, prior to writing this post I had no idea who Gerrit Gustafson was, but I feel I should have, since he is credited on 150 worship songs on CCLI. Gerrit was also part of the original creative team that launched Integrity Music!
