When I first watched Pink’s video of this song it has stayed with me. The song theme is so moving. Kids these days are dealing with more peer pressure than you know. God has made us all unique. We’re perfect in His eyes. We don’t need to prove ourselves to anyone else. He loves us just the way we are.
Please note: I do sing the ‘beer’ line in this song but that’s nothing considering I use the ‘sloppy wet kiss’ line in church from John Mark McMillan’s ‘How He Loves Us’. So, please don’t get hung up on that.
This is a great song from Pink. I hope I can do it justice.

You should sing this at Church! This is the kind of song that the masses can relate to.
Hi Alastair, Hope you are all well! Indeed God loves us all (John 3v16). In your introduction to the song you say we should not feel unworthy and have total confidence in ourselves. I just wonder is that Scriptural? Regards, John
To Jason G. it is not what the masses relate to that counts but that which pleases God!
There’s one thing I’m certain of. It would please God to see all people know that salvation is free because He paid for it in sacrificial love. I could certainly understand how anyone trying to be worthy of it through their own efforts would not be able to embrace the confidence that we have in Christ.
